| It's all new to me and I'm confused!!!!!!
Hello everybody!
__________________![]() I wondered if anyone can help me at all. I'm planning a round the world trip this November and as yet haven't been able to book my ticket because I'm finding it hard to gather the necessary info on travel costs overland in the various places I'll be going. I have limited time on the internet and find whenever I perform searchs to try and get somewhere I get lost in the sea of the internet world!!!! ![]() My trip will include China, Aisa (Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia), Australia, N.Z, Fiji, Cook Islands, America (LA & San Fran). I have been trying to find out how much the various travel options (trains/internal flights/buses) will be in each of these countries to work out where to fly into and out of!!!!!! I'd be really grateful if anyone can give me any pointers/ideas or website details coz this is a chance of a lifetime trip and I don't wanna mess it up!!!!! Thanks very muchly. ![]() |

Hi Niki,
__________________I would suggest that you might want to visit a travel agent first. This would allow you to get all the information you require, and get a plan together. This will also allow you to get a “ballpark” figure ($) to work with. With this information you should be able to go online to search the best deals even with the limited time you have. Just an idea. |

Thanks for your reply. I have spent time with an STA-Travel Agent who specialise in backpacking holidays but was unable to gain much info other than some rather expensive excursions and a few all inclusive train fares in Australia to the value of £150-200. I'm really after the names of any internal flight company's (for example we have "EasyJet" in England and they do extremely good deals for Europe flights compared with other airlines). Also, the company's advertised in the brocher's for camper-van hire etc also seem quite pricey and I wondered if it was a case (as usual) where it's better to book direct maybe for a better deal. No worries though. I'll keep searching. Thanks for your reply again. Niki |
