Hi folks,
__________________I was just back from Mt. Kinabalu. Never believe that I have made it to the highest mountain in SE Asia! It is a highly recommended place that you can't miss it! Through my experience, there were some important preparation steps(besides the fitness preparation) before the departure. Firstly, you have to determine the hiking route. Basically there are two alternatives for the summit trail. 1. Mesilau - Laban Rata - Summit or 2. Timpohon - Laban Rata - Summit My friend advised us to take the Mesilau trek to go up and take the Timpohon trek when come down. With this, we can then enjoy scenery of both of the trails!! Well, I would say that we have made a right choice!! *_* After deciding on the hike route, you must confirm the booking of accommodation This is important especially during the peak season (sometime in May, it is the best month to visit the mountain) as there were limited bed seats in Laban Rata resorts. Hopefully this little piece of information is useful for you. Enjoy your journey ahead!! *_* Cheers, Kim Sharing Makes Life Happening!! Sharing makes life happening!! |

I have booked the Air Asia tickets to conquer this KK mountain in May (based on your advice May is the best time to go right?) Hopefully I can take the some shots as nice as yours!! ![]() Mini |
