matching status

I had a few questions about comp status. Until today, I had never heared of such a thing. Can I COMP my gold status with NW and get an HP gold and still keep my NW gold? And, can I COMP my AA gold to HP, even though my AA gold is expiring at the end of the month?

Go for it. You keep your status with your original airline.

I got a 2003 NW & DL comp from my 2002 CO status. I made CO again for 2003 anyway but, if not, I would have tried to get a 2003 CO comp using my 2003 NW or DL comps.

The way the airlines are getting stingy I don't feel real guilty about fudging a little bit.

They did. The best part is that the NW elite card gives you access to the VIP lounges. :P

Can you use your worldperks card to upgrade even if you have your continental # in the reservation?

I would guess yes but I don't really know.

The Continental card works upgrading on Northwest but I did have my CO # on the ticket. Why not just try for a CO comp card?

I'm under the impression that the CO program is probably the better one. I care more for the actual flight experience. I try to fly on Continental's 777's or 767's. Next choice is on the upper deck of Northwest's 747's followed by the lower deck. After that I'd sorta rather stay home unless it's a really short hop.

Maybe the reason NW comped your CO was because you live outside the U.S. My dad wants to get his NW status comped to CO. Could you tell me where and what I need to send to CO?
