Munich to Oberstaufen

4 of us will be traveling in Germany arriving Munich in late Sept. We already have plans to spend a couple of days in Munich then have reservations for the Passion Play in Oberammergau. From there we will head towards Oberstaufen for 5-6 days. We have apartment reservations there, & plan to use this as a base for day trips. We would welcome any suggestions for "don't miss" day trips. (We already have Neuschweinstein on the list). Thanks

Drove from Munich Airport in c. 2 hours, to find a good class resort a mile outside the pretty town of Oberstaufen. Good facilities, pleasant & helpful staff & quality food from both the Italian-styled restaurant & the more traditional bistro. Having a car was useful in doing our own thing, but the programme of events was so comprehensive, you.......
