| Security lines at ATL
Does Atlanta have first class / elite security lines now? And if so, are they only for Delta customers or for multiple airlines?
__________________I flew out of ATL today and was about to head to the maze that forms into the line for the security folks to check your boarding pass. However, I noticed a side entrance with no line so I just walked up and handed my ticket jacket to a security employee who was standing next to a Delta employee. He immediately asked me, "You have a first class ticket?" >>"Um, yeah, I do," I responded; I initially wasn't sure if he was making some weird comment about my boarding pass or what. He looked through my Continental ticket jacket for a few moments. "Oh, I see you do. Head on to that line and remove your laptop" So I walked right through and avoided the 100-ish people deep line. I'm glad that I spotted the line, but I'm sort of surprised that ATL security folks respect a CO FC ticket. |

Flew out of ATL again today and they now have a sign up that says "First Class / Premium Customers" and they again were OK with my Continental FC ticket. I think that it says "Premium" to allow Delta/Air France/etc Biz Class passengers through, but not advertise "Business Class" to avoid the AirTran Biz Class people from making it through. |
