Begin your visit by taking a local tour and then go back and visit the sites you are most interested in. Be prepared to do some walking. Enjoy!

Glasgow has many fantastic places to see and things to do - I would recommend (in no particular order) the Art Gallery and Museum at Kelvingrove (this reopens after a huge refurbishment in Spring 2006), the Museum of Transport, Buchanan St. for shopping. the Peoples Palace. the Burrell Art Collection at Pollok House, the Hunterian Museum at Glasgow University and the main university building itself, the Science Centre, the Hampden Stadium football museum, and, of course, the tour of Celtic Park to see the only European Cup which has or will ever be won by a soccer team comprised entirely of individuals born and raised within a thirty mile radius of the stadium. Just outside of Glasgow, the Loch Lomond/Trossachs National Park is a site of beauty which is world renowned. And that is without even mentioning the many, uh, "social" activities which Glasgow has to offer.... |

King Tuts Wha Wha hut for some good live music. Kubla Kahn for some crazy food. Some great bars in the centre and the locals are incredibly friendly. Do what I do when travelling ask the cab drivers, I found them to be honist and reliable. Cheers, Richy. |
