West Highland Way?

Hi, My family and I are planning on hiking the West Highland Way in July or August of next year(2011). We plan on using one of the services that will transport luggage from hotel to hotel during the day. So we will only have day packs during the actual hiking portion. Sooooo, I'm looking for any tips/hints/helpful advice about doing the hike. Thanks in advance.
