Where is the most impressive hotel in Tokyo, Kyuto, Osaka?

It will be the first trip to Japan. I am quite anxious about language. However, the first thing I am looking for is where to stay. Somebody, could you please recommend me about cheap hotels(at reasonable price) to stay in Tokyo, Kyuto, and Osaka? How much does it cost/night/person and how to book it? I would like to stay in downtown or where is easy to go anywhere.Thank you.
