| YTB or WV..not sure where to put this post
I am JUST hearing about this YTB opportunity. Can we start a discussion about what it is and opinions of it? Do you have to be a "salesman extraordinaire" to be successful at this? I have access to a LOT of people that must travel as a part of why we are all in our internet group together, but how does it benefit THEM to buy their tickets fro me, versus someplace like cheaptickets or orbiz or whatever???

| Check out TraVerus Travel
Hi Steph,
__________________First off you do not have to be salesperson although we sell every day of our lives and do not realize it. Ever recommend a great movie, restaurant, good book to your friends and family? That is selling of the finest kind. Do those companies send you a check every week/month. I get paid to promote my service. I'd say to join any company one has to do their due diligence first. Check out a company very thoroughly first and do not ever fall for the hype. When any company charges $500.00 or more 85% only goes to 3% of the people. Find out if the system is easy to duplicate which should be your first priority. Also how many people do you know that will be willing to spend $500.00 to join you in your venture, that is a lot of money. It is not better because they charge more. Any company that goes public means they need money. Get involved in a company that is not publicly traded. You owe it to yourself to check all of them out. Call the cruise lines and ask which company do you recommend. Many travel companies have been recently banned from the suppliers. You need to know which ones. |

Steph, There are a number of travel companies to pick from and you're going to hear a lot of fluff from all manner of reps from most of them. They'll tell you their company is better, the comp plan is better, the amount to sign up is less--non of this matters. Its all smoke and mirrors to get you to sign up with them. Go with the company which fits YOU. You asked how your friends and family would benefit from booking through you. Well, here again you could get a lot of fluff but in my opinion, if my sister or a friend had a business and I could book an expensive vacation through them rather than someone I didn't know, I'd feel a bit more secure that the details would be handled with more care. I'm with YTB as you'll note in my sig line. I've also begun taking YTB's courses for becoming a more knowledgeable referring travel agent. I'm having a blast AND building an income with travel sales. Hopefully some of this has helped you To your success! Tim |

I prefer to cut out the middle man and deal directly with the airline websites or through the airlines "Elite" services reservations by telephone . I don't use Orbitz or Cheaptickets or any company like that. Shouldn't everyone check with the airlines websites anyway to see if that "great price" Orbitz or Cheaptickets gives you is really a "great price!" How would you know if you don't check with the airlines anyway, take their word for it?? (Trust but verify!) I think independent travel agents are more helpful for first time/infrequent fliers and business/corporation flights than for experienced frequent fliers! I stick with one airline most of the time to collect frequent flier miles and other perks like free upgrades and vip lounge use. I don't care if "airline X" is $25 cheaper than my regular airline because my regular airline will make up the difference with free upgrades and bonus miles. (I fly overseas primarily!) Just an opinion from someone who is not in the business of selling plane tickets! F | |

| YTB Banned
Hi, Before you get into YTB please check out ytbexposed.com I would think you would do your homework first before jumping into any program without doing your due diligence. Royal Caribben Cruise lines just banned YTB and Iatan also did the same. If your are looking to travel then connect yourself with a travel company who does it RIGHT. You do not want to get involved in a card mill..BEWARE Thank you for your time. S |

Everyone here should do themselves a favor and check out TraVerus. Their compensation package is great and there are many different ways to get compensated not just 1 or 2. Read about it and make up your own mind. Go to Traverus Travel Pros - Work with Traverus Leaders Contact me if more information is needed. Have a good one. Rainbow |

| YTB vs Traverus
Yes - you do get life insurance with YTB - but not until you become a Director (meaning you have to have 500 people under you) - you also get free health care coverage then. No - you do not get life insurance with Traverus, but unlike YTB you don't have to have 500 people working under you get residual earnings (which are not like the $1 per person per month that YTB pays). Anyone wanting to get in on the ground floor (like the current YTB directors did) can check out the Traverus opportunity, the superior compensation plan (which is backed by the company with a $50,000 guarantee to be paid to anyone who can prove to Traverus that there is a better compensation package for the online travel business), and the MUCH lower start up cost. Just contact me at myrainbowtravel@gmail.com if you want to learn more about Traverus. |

You guys are paying a lot of money to sell just travel. You can read my thoughts on YTB and more here http://askhack.dyndns.org/pages/business/ytb.html There are no income promises or guarantees here all of them are 100% B.S. and should instantly red flag your attention. Any one who promises you income is spending hundreds or thousands to fulfill the fine print of that income guarantee ROFLMAO |

This method sounds like a combination of Multi-level Marketing and a Pyramid Scheme! Get so many people under you and you make money or get some benefit, etc. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multi-level_marketing http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pyramid_scheme F |
