The only way to fly

I wonder if the driver of this Lexus got frequent flyer miles for his "flight."

Where'd you snag this picture from? What's the history behind it?

Not my picture -- it was passed on to me.

The rumor is that the dealer was driving a car and accidently hit the gas instead of the brakes and then ran into a curb, went airborne, and hit the other cars.

However, that story is not only unrealistic but the damage doesn't reflect such an encounter. It appears that the car on top gracefully hit the other ones such that there's no damage beyond the impact points.

My bet is that it rolled off one of those display ramps at ~10mph or perhaps fell off one of the carrier trucks that delivers cars to the dealership.

At least they're just Lexuses and not nice cars.

The rear of the white Lexus appears to have a lot more damage than one would expect, which would indicate to me more to the picture than we see.
