What is best? PLATINUM or GOLD + SILVER

I have other question for you, in this forum.
I fly miles enough a year to achieve PLATINUM status in ONE PASS.
But, during next three months, I have plans for doing 4 or 5 international flights that I could do in COPA (CO partener) or in TACA.
The situation is that TACA is offering TRIPLE milleage for those trips (only for suthamerican residents) from MARCH to MAY this year.
If I use that promotion, I could get one free ticket every second trip (22K miles each trip for 35K - 40K rewards), and SILVER status in their program.
But, chances are that I will not get PLATINUM status for next year.
I actually have 15K miles in OP, and I'll do 5 additional trips, 8K each, this year. So GOLD will be available, but if no additional flight is needed, I would lose my PLATINUM.
I'd like to know what you would do in this scenario.
Thank you

Take the platinum and run. Wouldn't TACA comp your platinum status from onepass?
