anyone got a GPS?

I picked up the StreetPilot Colormap this week and wasn't too impressed with it. Once the novelty of color wore off, the unit was basically a brick with a compass attached.

So I returned that and picked up a GPS V. So far this thing is pretty sweet! The resolution is excellent, it does recalculation on the fly (Colormap didn't) and has room for 500 waypoints (I think.)

Wondering if anyone else carries a GPS and what kind - do you like it? What don't you like?

I've got a GPS III+ that I've had for about three years, and it goes almost everywhere with me. It lives in my car, and I take it with me on almost every trip (especially if I'm going to be driving a rental car). I've got the US street map CD that has more detailed maps you can load into the unit (only a few counties at a time with mine), and would definitely recommend that.

The III+ doesn't do route calculation (it just draws streets on the screen, it doesn't understand what they're for), but I haven't found that to be a great disadvantage.

i guess the only drawback that i'm seeing right now is that i have to reload new maps frequently from the CD. I wish there was a way to get more area detail.
