AirTran Airways Announces Ratification of Contract Agreement with The Association of Flight Attendants-CWA, AFL-CIO
All PRNewswire NewsORLANDO, Fla., May 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc. AAI, announced the ratification of a new collective bargaining agreement reached on April 29, 2005, with the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA, AFL-CIO (AFA). The new 42-month agreement was ratified by a wide margin with 94 percent of voting flight attendants choosing in favor of the contract.
The new agreement replaces the one which became amendable on October 20, 2002, and provides improved compensation, benefits and quality of life for the more than 1,300 flight attendant Crew Members based in Atlanta. The new agreement takes effect June 1, 2005.
