Apologies for the blatant ad post, but VS travellers may be interested in https://www.virginflyer.com
It was born out of the frequent questions on FlyerTalk such as 'what aircraft will I get on my flight', 'what's the best seat on the VS23', 'Will I get V:Port entertainment on the Boston route', 'How can I tell if my flight is oversold on Galileo', and many others.
It certainly has a Virgin Atlantic bias, but most of the tools on the site can be used to check other airlines too.
Nice site, you've clearly put a great deal of work into it. I never fly Virgin, so it's mostly just an academic venture for me.
I'm a huge fan of seatguru.com for their seat ratings. Although lacking user-voting, their interface seems a lot more approachable than the virginflyer one.
Yeah, I guess I have the challenge of trying to display live data - and believe me when I say it was a big challenge!
Seatguru is a great site, and I have used it myself, but one thing I noticed was there wasn't live interaction with it. You could email your ratings, but not simply click a seat on the map and say, 'hey, this is a good seat', or 'avoid this one at all costs'.
So that was the reason I wrote the seat ratings page on VirginFlyer (no point duplicating exactly what's already out there, eh?), but - and as you've noted - there are some trade offs between interactivity and interface.
Any improvements that can be made are always welcome. Hey, that's how the site came to be!

Just fixed a major problem with the site and added a link to ITYT!
like the recent update to your excellent site, even more useful info than before. :D
Keep up the goodwork.
Humor story - 7
Hello 1st Person: "Do you know anything about this fax-machine?"2nd Person: "A little. What's wrong?"1st Person: "Well, I sent a fax, and the recipient called back to say all she received was a cover-sheet and a blank page. I tried it again, and the same thing happened."2nd Person: "How did you load the sheet?"1st Person: "It's a pretty sensitive memo, and I didn't want anyone else to read it by accident, so I folded it so only the recipient would open it and read it." Bye
